The likelihood that the two species of Amanita sect. Vaginatae that you have photographed well is that neither is a described species. This is a BIG problem with sect. Vaginatae in North America. I would agree with those who said that orange-brown species resembles what we call "A. fulva" in North America. The problem is that we have it thoroughly wrong. We have a look-alike that needs a name. I have collected A. flavescens in Norway and seen the original material from Sweden. It is a different species from A. subnudipes (=crocea var. subnudipes). There's a key to the species related to fulva, crocea, and romagnesiana at
http://pluto.njcc.com/~ret/amanita/key.dir/crocekey.pdf
This key only deals with the NAMED taxa in a few closely related groups. I hope it is clear that A. flavescens is a northern(?) European species that can be segregated without too much difficulty from A. crocea and A. subnudipes.
Very best,
Rod Tulloss
