Hygrophorus hypothejus

Hygrophorus hypothejus (Fr.) Fr. (1838)

Elias Magnus Fries descrisse questa specie nel 1818 come Agaricus hypothejus, prima di inserirla nel genere Hygrophorus nel 1838.
Il nome specifico deriva dal greco antico “hypo” e “theios” cioè “sotto” e "giallo zolfo".
